Connector Plate
Custom-designed to fit the UR control box, this plate features connections and sockets for digital inputs and outputs. It comes equipped with two sockets, one for the adaptor and one for the feedback clamp. Additionally, it includes two capped-off holes and cable glands, allowing for extra connections such as fume extraction systems or weld indicator lights.
Connector (Three Variants)
For seamless integration with different welding power sources, there are three connector variants: Euro, Miller, and Lincoln. This ensures a perfect fit while facilitating signal communication between the welding robot and the power source.
Current Clamp
This component attaches to the welding hose or ground cable, delivering real-time feedback signals to the robot. This enhances precision and consistency in welding results.
What Are The Limitations?
While the RetroFit Kit provides significant functionality, it is essential to understand its limitations:
- The kit can turn the arc on and off and includes a feedback signal to register if there is a stable arc. However, it cannot automatically adjust welding parameters live during operation.
- Advanced parameter control and communication through protocols are only available with the range of pre-integrated power sources. If you need these features, explore our Power Source Integrations.
- Some highly specialized or legacy power sources might require further evaluation for compatibility.
